 Lynden WA
Lynden, WA is located in the mild climate of northwest Washington, just five miles from the Canadian border and 15 miles north of Bellingham WA. The natural beauty of Mt. Baker and the San Juan Islands, plus the metropolitan attractions of Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., all are within a couple of hours.
Lynden's Dutch heritage was established as settlers from Holland began to arrive in the early 1900s. The results of their hardy work ethic are still seen today in the area's successful dairy and berry farms, plus its well-maintained homes. At one point in Lynden's history they held the record for the highest number of churches per capita of it's population.
Lynden is a great place to raise a family with strong public and private school systems.

As A Side Note
Lynden WA "Our corner Of  Paradise" during the holiday season was almost beyond description.  The beautiful snow that made our white Christmas was perfectly timed.  Families were together and able to take time, ski at our great resorts and visit the beaches for the perfect Northwest Coast Christmas.  Everything was crisp and white, the fresh air coming across the water made everything just right to build the snowman that everyone talks about, then go inside, visit and enjoy hot cocoa and season goodies.

The lights and festivities in Lynden were a thrill to young and old alike.  the best way to describe the holiday season here was:  Lynden, Washington at its best.  It was a season for the young and young at heart.

In the Blaine /Northwest Washington area the migratory birds have arrived.  For great viewing, visit Sunset Beach in Birch Bay Village, walk the Semiahmoo Spit, and cross the road to scan Drayton Harbor.  If you want to stay in your car, take a drive from the Semiahmoo Resort, down the Semiahmoo Spit, around Drayton Harbor, all the way to the Blaine Marina.  the beauty is beyond your wildest dreams.
If you have extra time, drive down to Birch Bay  Drive cruise the entire bay from Birch Bay to Birch Bay State Park, around to Point Whitehorn.  You will be glad you did!
